Waterlemon question

Post by kristen1206 »

If we want to see the ruins(and views) and snorkel at waterlemon...we can park at the ruins correct? then there is a (marked) trail which leads down to the beach at Leinster Bay? How long of a hike is this?

Thanks

Yes park at the Annaberg Parking Lot and then you hike along the water - almost a mile.

Is the road/trail still drive-able in a 4wd Jeep with an experienced driver down to the old bridge parking area?

or was that a secret? :)

You aren't supposed to drive that road at all according to what we have been told in the past. We were just there a few days ago and the ruins are wonderful and the hike to the furtherest point of the trial is about a mile- very easy hike Kristen, but you can enter the water closer on the little beach area if you want to swim further! It was great as usual! 8)

Thanks. We never saw any signs and nobody ever said we couldn't drive down. I know the last trip it was a bit eroded in front of the bridge, but it was still stable enough to get there.
