probably not a good idea and I don't really take that as a sign of it not being too bad. just people being stupid if you ask me!

I didn't do an official check earlier, but I think the spice cam has had about a quarter of a million hits today. Literally.

I'm guilty of adding to a bunch of those
The conditions definitely appear to have worsened in the last 10 minutes.
I hope that the storm passes quickly for all on island and that all are safe.

Yeah people don't understand the "band" or "eye" concepts when it comes to hurricanes. YOu can be standing in the center and all is completely calm. Then as the eye shifts (which can be sudden) you are in a world of hurt.
It's a "Darwin moment" top be sure.

It looks to me like there is an oil/gas leak around the yellow dingy. What do you think the chances are the owner left the motor on the boat or did not drain it.
Its all good!

If that's the case then we'll have to nickname the dinghy "BP"

No time to be laughing, but Gromit, that's funny! I am hoping the dock is the worst of the damage! I have been hitting the spice cam all day, too- was in an all day meeting but keep my phone screen on it.....
