Live from the rock 11 May

Post by TrvlJohn »

It is good to be 'home'.
Got in last night and decided to run down the hill for ponzu tuna. Mmm...
We had thunderstorms overnight but it is pretty today.

We are off to my favorite beach -little Lameshur. More later.
Leap, and the net will appear.

Keep an eye on those papayas! The one on the bottom is showing a bit of yellow. Should it look as though they may not ripen during your stay, you can accelerate things by picking a few and using a knife to make score lines along their sides. Enjoy!

All the best,

Kevin

Made it to Lameshur. This is why it is my favorite.

More about last nite. We saw 2 empty seats at the bar at aqua bistro and sat down. On our left was TT Larry and on our right was Pam Gaffin. Had a great dinner and great conversation. It was a great way to start the trip.

Mongoose actually unzipped my cooler while I was on the yawzi trail. They used to just tear up the cooler - now they just unzip the cooler. He ate one sandwich but left one for us.

Eagleraylover -we are here til the 26th.

Island is a little brown but should bounce back pretty quick with the rain.

It really was a cool storm last nite.

 Had to chase our cooler bag down from a donkey on the beach one year ! A little while later he came back up the beach carrying someone else's bag. No one was chasing him....so I guess they must have been in the water and didn't see him "lift" it !! :D

Have a great time for all of us stuck at home !! We will be there in just a little over 4 weeks ! :D

Good stuff, TrvlJohn...thanks for the update on the flora...have a great time.

And I love a rainy STJ night when the drops are hitting the roof like millions of little knocks at the door. The murmur his almost hypnotizing, broken by an occasional thunder clap. You can just hear things so much clearer on STJ, so much less noise pollution than in the city. I always sleep really well on those nights.
It’s not about yesterday or tomorrow...It’s about today, for come what may – Sun, rain, or hurricane – we've only time for a smile, and none for sorrow

We spent Friday night at Aqua Bistro, too (also for the tuna!). While it was your first night, it was our farewell dinner. Back home and missing St. John already.
