My wife and I are heartbroken at this tragedy. Our prayers are with his family in what has to be an incredibly difficult time. We've only been to STJ twice, but loved the guys and the food at this restaurant so much that we ate there twice on each trip! Some of my favorite time on our first trip was sitting at the bar all night talking to Mike and all of the La Plancha guys until they were ready to close. As beautiful as the island and water is, it's still the people who call STJ home that really make visiting so fulfilling!

If anyone hears of a memorial or a way to help the family we would love to know.

Mike, you will be sorely missed. Thanks for the suggestions about Macs. Thanks for all the lunches. Thanks for being a great customer. Thanks for being a great Chef, friend, and father. God bless. Oh, and for all the best deserts ever...Thanks!
