Loria, sending you and your family my condolences and I wish you Peace in the days/weeks/months to come.

I hope that your FIL's courage and the strength of his personal beliefs brought him Peace in his final days.

Having gone through the death of my Mom, when you're ready and if you're interested, I have a reading list of some amazing books that helped me through the first year afterwards and come to grips with the reality of it.

Lori, I just saw this. I'm so sorry for your loss. (How are the kids taking it? So hard to lose a grandparent.) I'm glad that his suffering is over and he is at peace. And now you have an extra guardian angel looking out for all of you.

Loria,
I'm sorry for your loss but thankful that God granted him a peaceful passing. I'm a firm believer in prayer and that God's knows when someone is ready to pass on to heaven. We the living are the ones who are left to mourn and that's difficult. I'm sure that your FIL was ready to see his maker.
Wishing you peace.
