Where to store luggage in Charlotte Amalie (STT)

Post by Gromit »

We get this question on the forum from time to time and even I didn't know about this service -- which is available Monday - Saturday -- for folks who want to shop in downtown CA before catching a flight home:

FYI -- Some taxi drivers will arrange to hold your luggage and pick you back up at an appointed time as well.

Gromit - I've used this service every trip so far and it's been wonderful. The Visitor's Center is the yellow building with the blue shutters directly across the street from the CA ferry stop. The ladies working there are very helpful and will call a reputable taxi for you when you are ready to go to the airport. There is also a restroom there which is something that I always seem to need after getting off the ferry so that I can concentrate on shopping rather than finding a restroom! The entrance is on the side street directly across from the vendor area near the park.

Oh thats good to know. I did the taxi thing once and forget to establish the price beforehand and got hit pretty good when he came back and THEN asked "what do I owe you?". My error.

I always leave my bags in the cab too. I haven't been too frightened by the price, but it's not as good as the visitor's center.

Next time...
