Thanks for the YAPTA tip!

To whoever sent along the tip a while back about flagging my upcoming flights with YAPTA - thanks!!!

We purchased three tickets to STT from Chicago for July at $560 each (most we ever paid) and today, Yapta emailed me to say they went way down. So, I will be getting three vouchers for $154 each soon.

That really helps! I appreciate it and encourage anyone else out there to use this service.

I think that I will try it for the tickets that I have purchased already for the Kauai and STJ trips coming up.

I just saw this site last night and was going to post about it after reading about how expensive flights to STT are getting. I got a great deal on AA out of Boston, so I couldn't save this time, but I have read great things about Yapta other places on the net.

Maybe Anthony could be persuaded to check it out and post a permalink at the top of the forum or sell them some advertising. Just a thought...

I didn't see a link for those who might want to check it out. Here it is:

Thanks Cid (and Tom) for the link for the others, I had planned to put it up here but forgot!!

It was very easy, they sent me an email about the price change, indicated I could get a voucher for $150 or a cash refund for $60 for each ticket. All I had to do was call the airline and explain it.

Before calling, I checked the airfare sites again and the price posted was the same that I originally paid so I thought I was out of luck. I called United anyway and was able to get the vouchers - it was way too easy. Thanks again!

Just signed up with Yapta. Looks like a great service. Thanks for the tip! I don't think I'm going to get any money back for this trip to STJ. The price of my tickets went up to $1,183 from what I paid for them, $368.

Thanks again, Tom. Can't wait to stay at Allesandra!

Tracy, it’s not giving me the option of choosing United in the drop-down menu. It lists Air Tran, Alaska, America West, American, ATA, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Midwest, and US Airways.

But you were able to get a refund with United, what am I missing?

I just double-checked. I have United listed on mine between MidWest and US Airways - second from the bottom.

Hi Teresa Rae -

Yes, I did get my voucher with United and I too see it towards the bottom by Midwest. On Yapta.com it is under the left side of the page with the pull down menu for airlines. Hope that helps!

That's really weird, United does not show up for me :(

I'll have to try on my computer at home and see if it comes up there.
