Neat Sheet
Neat Sheet
Aye carumba!
I just saw them on Amazon for $79.99.
SOMEBODY tell me there's a cheaper solution!

Re: Neat Sheet
Look into the parasheet, I love it - stuffs into a can size pouch and can be anchored down!

Re: Neat Sheet
What Mike said! We just used our on STJ for the first time last week and it was great. Lighter weight than a Neat Sheet (I have one of those, too) and as Mike said packs up really small. It has pockets on each corner to fill with sand (or rocks or shoes or whatever) to keep it in place. $38 on Amazon and free shipping. http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Hammock-Pa ... =parasheet

Re: Neat Sheet
Thanks for the link Chicagoans . I'm going to order it for our upcoming trip !

Re: Neat Sheet
I find that using generous amounts of wet sand in the corners, it will hardly ever move in the wind. And that sand, as any other sand that may be on it, just spills out easily when packing up.

Re: Neat Sheet
ToysRUs / BabiesRUs has a store brand version of the neat sheet. Much cheaper and works great.
Re: Neat Sheet
I am another convert from the neat sheet to the para- sheet. Got mine on Amazon. Some colors are on sale. Much lighter and takes less space - about the space of a beer can!
Re: Neat Sheet
We have used the para sheet for the last 2-3 trips to the rock and it is awesome. Light weight, folds small, covers a good size area, easy to anchor with sand, and cleans easily. (Even used it as a rain cover when it rains in paradise)

Re: Neat Sheet
Here's a picture from our trip 2 weeks ago. The Parasheet looks small, but my son is 6'5"!
Re: Neat Sheet
I agree that a Parasheet is easier to pack and transport. Don't put them in the dryer.
I still have a couple of old Neat Sheets at our cabin and the one thing that makes me hold onto them is the fact that they are waterproof, which is great when driving in wet clothing. I am going to check out that cheaper version mentioned as mine are past their prime.

Re: Neat Sheet
Add me on to the parasheet admirers.
We've gotten several of them (we now give them as gifts*) at the store in Mongoose Junction whose name escapes me. A little pricier than Amazon but if you're on island (or would rather spend your money there), its a great option.
* Parasheets are v.2 of STJ gifts. We give those AFTER we have already given a Polar Bear Cooler.
