My wife will be having our first child soon and I am trying to come up with a girls middle name. I was wondering if anyone could think of one that had to do with STJ. I think it would be really cool to name her after the island that we love. Thanks guys.

Congrats!
We named our new male kitten Gibney, fits him perfectly.
How about Francis? We looked at a map and wrote all the potentials down.
Good luck!

Gee Jan, thanks for suggesting MY screen name.....just kidding!! ATGC - it's hard to know how a middle name fits without knowing the first name and it all depends on what YOUR memories are of the island. Here's a few though, some a little off the wall, but that seems to be popular these days - Annaberg, Moravia, ZoZo, Asolare, Catherine, Carolina (Catherineberg, Estate Carolina), Caribe, Anemone, Aurelia (Genus name for moon jellyfish), Chelonia (genus name for sea turtles) or Marina (reminds me of the color of the water). Congrats on your little one and do let us know which name(s) you choose!

I love Cruz. If we had a girl, I loved Caroline Cruz. But we have two wonderful boys with family names. One of them was almost named John.

Husband and I wanted to name our new siamese kittens Francis and Gibney bit our son overruled us.

We contemplated Caneel as a girls name.

Just my opinion: I think Gibney is a great middle name as long as the first name has 2 or 3 syllables.

These work for me:
Katherine Gibney Smith
Carolyn Gibney Smith

These don't:
Jane Gibney Smith
Kate Gibney Smith

How about Skinny Legs?????

No huh? OK, let's try again. I do like Francis. The only other woman's name that brings me backk to STJ is Kristi- as in Kristi Hansen.

Other than that I've not nothing.

Congratulations on your new baby. I'm sure she will be happy and healthy no matter what you name her.
