New post on our building blog

Post by Pia »

As I have received a few messages asking when the next post will be up I thought I would let everyone know - new post on our building blog - with a poll if you would like to vote - is up :)
I would have added it to my old link but I guess that has now vanished as it was on the old forum.

Thanks for your interest everyone.

Pia

And we already have a red Tacoma pick-up truck - I'm 50% there and didn't know it :)

Beautiful pics, Pia. I looked again to see the location on STJ, and couldn't find it.

Gotta say I do like the red pool, it certainly wouldn't deter me from purchasing. All of them look great.

While the red pool is funky, I feel like the rest of your home is done in soft, soothing, hues. I'd go that route with a pool, especially for resale. I do love a red roof on St. John, like La Tete Rouge, or the Moravian Church, but I think a red pool might be a deal breaker for me. I love a pool that is natural looking like a beach on St. John.

This pool reminds me of the beach (not my pic).

But the dark and sexy pool is pretty cool too.

ChiChi will be your hero!!! We'd go with the blue hues. Red is beautiful, but looks a little Mandarin. Good luck! You are giving us some great ideas with that glass tile for the new house. Thanks!

Just FYI nothing has vanished - the forum was upgraded and updated, but all posts remain as they were. Nothing was lost -

Pia, I had no idea what you meant by a 'red pool' but it is actually really striking! I agree that it looks more Asian, maybe something you'd find in Bali. That dark pool is gorgeous. We've actually seen the 'truck pool' in the parking lot of a Jimmy Buffett concert, lol! The platform under the house looks really great too, awesome use of space.

Thanks for the update!

I think you are able to edit your own posts - so you should be able to do that and/or respond to the older thread if that is what you mean.

We had a great time, thanks - back in NJ now.

Wow, Pia... this certainly looks like a controlled demolition!
I'm sure the dust as it was coming down was horrible.... but it really appears like you are a GREAT cleaner-upper!
