Back in Paradise, June 4-12 2018
Will filll in more details along the way....
4 of us here together, JimJim, sweet SARA, James & Renee (19 & 16).
Staying in Mystic Ridge villa near Mamey Peak (love it'!)
First day (Tues), we visited all the north shore beaches and swam at Maho...huge turtle sighting! Lots of turtles at Maho...as usual!
When I say visited all the north shore beaches, I mean we gave sweet SARA the tour. We set foot on many and looked at most of them but only swam at Maho. Tuesday night we went to Coral Bay and ended up eating at Indigo Grill, I had a nice jerk Mahi mahi; SARA had tuna bites, yungings had salad and ceviche. Indigo grill was a nice laid back place to eat...we tried miss Lucy’s first but they were not open for dinner. Glad to be back in paradise...
The island, beaches and water are beautiful as ever!
....more to come

Good to see you are on island again. I still use the map you made all the time.

Back home, back at work.... I'll tyry to hit the high points of our trip, feel free to ask questions...I may have some details mixed up on the days but who cares?

Day two (wed)- We made a trip to Denis bay and enjoyed the solitude and snorkeling,My mask leaked because my stubble was too rough so my snorkeling was minimal but I saw some fan coral and brain coral there... then we went into the Tap Room for Happy Hour, then Margarita Phil's for a light dinner.
Day Three (Thurs)- Water Catchment trail (Margaret Hill overlook hike), this was a fun, easy morning hike and the view was very nice at the overlook...a 180 degree view that looks over Cruz Bay out towards St Thomas and also over towards Lovango Cay. Then we visited Cinnamon beach that afternoon and enjoyed snorkeling out to Cinnamon Cay, there were some fan corals and brain and Elkhorn corals and we had the beach to ourselves...it was beautiful! I think we ate at the villa this evening...
Day 4 (Fri)- Hiked to Salomon with my daughter and we enjoyed snorkeling around the point between Salomon and Honeymoon, I really like that snorkel...nice coral, lots of fish, very calm and beautiful. We saw a big ray at Saloman too. Its about 15 mins hike in and 20 mins hike out, no problemo! Then spent time at the villa and ended up at Indigo Grill in Coral Bay for dinner again and we enjoyed it there. We tried Lucy's and Skinny Legs first but neither one was serving dinner that night.
Day 5 (Sat)- This was our day sail day with Capt Rick Smith on Cimarron, met outside High Tide at 10AM and off we went...Lovango Cay, over to Christmas Cove , where we saw a huge spotted eagle ray and some nice corals and fish, then over to Great James and snorkeled there, that was very nice too. The boat had a nice big fruit tray, unlimited drinks, then we had pizza for lunch off the pizza boat in Christmas cove! Rick and his "mate" Becky were great...the guy knows his stuff and is a great host, ..very professional sailor. Then back to the villa to chill and have dinner.
Day 6 (Sun)- Hid from the Sun, late trip to Cruz bay for Happy Hour and not much more, a quick snorkel at Maho on the way home and saw the huge turtle again!
Day 7 (Mon)- Early trip to Salt Pond (Sara wanted to harvest some local salt) but...no salt, just mud. Has anyone actually seen any salt there? Then we walked over to Drunk Bay and we enjoyed that alot, it was fun looking at all the "Coral grafitti" and enjoying the breeze. ...but Concordia looks dismal, bummer. We had a late evening family beach visit and snorkel at Trunk Beach and enjoyed the snorkel there...it was beautiful! Then Off to Cruz Bay for dinner at Lime Inn...was very nice, we loved it. Then back to the villa to get ready to travel back home
Day 8 (Tues) Travel home.
I'll post a villa review soon, we loved Mystic Ridge.
Until next time...Peace!

How did Salomon look? Right after Irma, there was almost no sand left, but I've seen some recent pictures where some of the sand had come back. We'll soon be on island for 16 nights, year #16!
