You can tell its been raining on island. The mosquitos are out in biblical quantities. It's like a bad (H)itchcock movie. Callaloo has been lovely, but with no a/c or window screens, there's been a bit of a battle. The beaches in the sunshine with the breeze are fine. Pack your bugspray.
Cheers, RickG & NoTanLines

Hang in there Rick. I'm back in the office and scratching with bits of sunburn and lots of bites. We were there until Tuesday morning, hit Hawksnest in the a.m. for a short seabath and I got like 20 bites in an hour!

Am interested to see if the mosi-bands work. CaliforniaGirl is gonna be trying them out. They supposedly work REALLY well down here.
Here is the website:

I've never had one single mosquito encounter on StJ. Not to worry, though, I've more than made up for the absence of skeeters, there, by being attacked by 'em here in Massachusetts.
I'm wondering. Are the mosquitos a problem, now, everywhere on StJ or just certain areas?

Bug spray packed & ready to go, thanks RickG.
The morning of our wbeach wedding hubby got bit by a mosquito on his cheek @ Cinnamon. Poor guy had a big red bump on his face for some of the pics.

That's how they were when we were there in June. I feel for you guys. NOTHING HELPS when they are like that. I tried it all, they were immune to everything. Finally I just gave up and let them have at it!
