So sorry to hear of your loss, our thought are with you.

I recall reading you post Christmas day and then viewed one of your previous trip reports- I particularly remembered because of the remark about being excited to get home to your dog:) I always miss my pups while away, anyway you also wrote this...

"But what if we could hold on to those moments...refuse to follow linear time and acknowledge its passing? Perhaps by telling the story in reverse chronological order, we can develop a false sense of anterograde amnesia, like the main character in the Christopher Nolan film MEMENTO. At least on paper, we can remain in STJ forever..."

Same goes for life... never let go of the moments
