.....fabulous.

If you are on island now or will be soon please try some of our local mangos - I don't remember a better year for them and they are being sold everywhere and are soooooo good :)

I wish I could Bert but no shipping of fruit :( I buy mine from Thomas at Hospitality Car Rental (and the smoothie shack - same people) next to Caps but just driving Centerline road there are little stands everywhere and at Terri Gibney's stand there has been a gentleman there everyday selling :)

I'm sure our Mangos don't compare, but they've been really good on the east coast too.

Here's a Mango recipe. It's excellent and simple:

Mango salsa:

1 Mango cut in small pieces
1 Cucumber, peeled, seeded and also cut in small pieces.
1/2 red onion minced
Grab a small handfull of celantro, roll up and cut in small pieces.
Mixed together with 1/2 cup of red wine vinegar and a dash of pepper.

My friends and family love this and you don't have to be perfect with it. Pineapple also works well.

Enjoy!

Yum....love to make mango ketchup. Hubby and daughter are addicted to it and put it on everything. Maybe there will still be mangos in a few weeks!

How long is the mango season? Will they still be around next week? I hope so!
