P-600, Depends wherer you are from how it is pronounced. My mother who is French, grew up speaking French pronounces it Domineeka where as growing up English was the primary language spoken, I pronounce the island Dominica. This small island should not be confused with the Domincan Republic which shares its island with Haiti. Awesome video, I saw it on the news yesterday and thought what lucky, lucky people to see that! The people who live there pronounce the island "Domineeka." Since that's their pronunciation and they speak English, I am pretty sure it is the correct way to say it.

It's a beautiful place and a prime breeding ground for whales during the winter months. I'd tell you to go, but then the island might get spoiled. So, I'll just tell you it's a pit.
