Help me find the right house

Post by flip-flop »

Coral Bay
Pool
a/c in bedrooms
Room for 4 adults and 4 kids (5 1/2, 10, 12, 16).
Under $4000 in the off season (next summer)

I am struggling to find a house that has a kid friendly layout - really the biggest worry is my littlest guy.

Any help appreciated! I know I am starting way early!

No suggestions but I am watching, we are looking for a 3BR (or 4br) in Coral Bay for our next trip and our son will be 6 yo.

You may want to take a look at Villa Andara http://www.vrbo.com/344010

It is toward east end but only 5 minutes to Coral Bay, I have a 6 year old so really like that 3 bedrooms are attached to the main house.

It is just a bit over the budget you mention but looks awesome, were booked for June - CANT WAIT! :D

I remember seeing that blog, I think the owners may be forum members.

Who on STJ handles the management?

That is a gorgeous house but way more than we need! Thanks for the suggestion. PA GIRL let me know if you find something.

So far I am looking at a few:

Seabreeze (bordeaux)
Seaglass
Caribn Odysea
Casa Luna (stayed there before and like it but always want to try something new)
Bay Rum (very nice and new, most expensive on the list)

Bay Rum is also on my list

What about Mayan Sky? It is 3br but I believe the one bedroom has a loft/den with a pull-out where you could put the little kids.

The owner of Bay Rum Breeze is a new forumite and we're renting directly from her this summer. PM me if you want her contact info, or you could do a search here and find her screen name and PM her.

That said, I'm not sure if Bay Rum Breeze would be big enough for so many people b/c there are only 3 bedrooms. Are you ok with two of the kids being in an un-air-conditioned small room on a fold-out couch? And are two of the parents ok with being in a separate building from their kids?

Try Heaven's Gate. It has everthing you want. I think off season is around 4k, but might be a touch higher now.

We stayed there last November. The villa is nearly brand new. We'll definitely go back.

I booked it through Viva, they also manage Bay Rum Breeze which also looks nice but I think the site said max of 6 guests, there are reviews of it on this site - all excellent

We are staying at Flanders (VRBO 169544) this May. If you're interested in a review, I can give you one upon our return. M
