I don't know what kind of shark that is, but I sure hope I don't see it or any of its kin when I am on St. John! I would definitely freak out, start screaming and flailing, and end up as shark lunch.
And as for the person petting the shark...heck, I won't even pet the dolphins at Sea World!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
I would also be shark bait if ever I saw one while I was in the H2O. I watch ALOT of Discovery Channel Shark programs and those don't look like what they say Tiger sharks should look like...to me. I am just SICK about this shark talk. I am going in may and have brainwashed myself into thinking there are very few of them in these waters. That only Nurse sharks and docile sharks are there. This is making it tough for me to look forward to snorkling on vaca! LOL! I can't share this with anyone in my group or there WON'T be any one in the water.OF course if I didn't read the posts I guess I would be fine but it's like waving a giant candy bar in front of a two year old. I just can't seem to stay away from them.
I am right there with you 1 of 4. I have brainwashed myself also. I get freaked out sometimes when I snorkel and this pic did not help! It really is cool though.
