Pistarckle Theatre

Post by Chicken »

Anyone ever seen a show at the Pistarcle Theatre? How was it? I'm thinking about going to "Rent" while I'm there in October so I'm curious what their reputation is. Thanks!

I love going to shows at Pistarckle. I've been to several and they always do a great job. It's a small community theater, nothing fancy, small concession, but it has a/c and fun atmosphere. I would definitely recommend going.

I saw Jesus Christ Superstar there and enjoyed it immensely. We didn't have a reservation but a few words with the house manager got us 2 seats (not together) but we were happy since we are involved with Community Theater at home in NYC. The dress was much more formal than any of the restaurants we'd been to all week, people really got all dolled up. The seating space is tight, my husband wouldn't have enjoyed being so squeezed in but the acting was top notch. Our company had done this same play the year before and it was an excellent rendition of the play. I say, go, BUT make a reservation !
