You can start with reading all you can about living in the Virgin Islands. Hopefully you have been there before. Even better if you can do a pre move visit for an extended stay over a two weeks. This way you will have to live like a local. I can't stress enough how different it is from the tourist's view point. There are other forums geared toward relocating to the VI. Take a look. Before I moved down I read everything I could get my eyes on. There is a book titled "Don't Stop The Carnival". This should be required reading. Even though it is over 50 years old, every word holds true today. Get a copy and read it!

To job hunt from the states is near impossible. You need to be on island. Which means you will have to take a big leap of faith. I went with several months worth of cash for living expenses and needed it. I found a job after two months. I stayed on island over two years. Look at this on Thursdays when it is published. http://www.stjohntradewindsnews.com/ Feel free to PM me for any more info! I would be glad to help.
