17 Days in St John. We always come in Jan but this is the first time we had such high winds at night. It would calm down during the day but the first-week visibility was poor snorkeling. The island is green and lush. It had rained a lot before we got there. The noseeums were out after 3 on some beaches. The first 10 days we spent with friends at Lunazul and last week stayed at Angel Roost. Centerline road has some pretty rough spots so I found ourselves taking longer North Shore Road more often. The first time we took 530 Crown Ferry from the airport to St John. Loved it!

It was blowing like stink. I saw a 47 knot gust on our wind meter on the boat in Coral Bay. Friends up Gerda Marsh Road saw a gust in the high 50s. The North Swell was high too with Park beaches closed and Maho Beach road inundated.

Good week for hiking!

Cheers, RickG

RickG.

You must have been the pretty boat with lights on at night. We commented on it. I bet it was really rough on the boat. The last week we were there the winds finally calmed down.

I have loved reading of your adventures and so happy you have another boat. We had drinks at Danforth bar one day but did not know your wife was working at the store inside. Please continue to update us on your adventures. It is awesome to see those who are living the dream.

Wow ... wish we could spend 17 days on the Island . The most so far for us has been 12 days at one time . We had planned on a full 2 weeks this June...now it's Corona time...as in virus ! Still hoping to make it back this year . :D

Keep safe ....Sherry in SC
