Ferry to jost

Post by mahojim »

Going to be on island 5/11-5/18.
Thinking about another trip to Jost...
Is the ferry a drag, or worthwhile?
I think we'd like to try a more cost effective jaunt there, and maybe hit other bars on the way to Soggy Dollar...?
Or go to Foxy's and Ivan's again...?

Hi Mahojim, I’ve taken the ferry to Jost a couple times but it was several years ago. You don’t get the relaxed sail you’d experience on a charter it’s more just transportation but it’s fine. It does offer the flexibility you mention you arrive in the morning, we headed to White Bay, grabbed some breakfast then enjoyed the beach and bars for a while. We pre-arranged a time for the taxi to come back for us when they dropped us off, we then went to Foxy’s to hang out, have lunch and relax until it was time to get the ferry back. I enjoyed being able to spend more time on Jost, when we chartered there we only had time for lunch at Soggy’s. Hope this helps!

This made me realize I needed to create a new ticker!
Soarin' with the eagles all week long, and this is all that we've learned about living - VACATION!
