Re: Aruba/st john
adlnp, I am in the same position as you right now. The majority of our group wants to see another island outside of the Virgin Islands. My thought is why mess with a good thing but I am being out voted. So if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. My parents travelled with us to STJ a coup...

Re: Going away...way too much to do
I share your same feelings. I waiver back and forth between stress and nervous energy/excitement. We always head to the airport the night before so as soon as we pull out of the driveway, I leave the stress behind. Our list is very similar to yours with the added "fun" of non-stop bickerin...

Re: 18 more days in paradise, part one
Great report so far! I am so curious to see how you liked Coral Cove? Is it really far out there? How far is it past Coral Bay? Looking forward to the rest :) So am I. That villa has always been on our short list but we like to go out for dinner every night and I fear it is too out of the way for u...

Re: Changes in store for Coral Harbor
It will be interesting to see if the public's (both local and tourist) reaction to this proposal is different since it is a local church developing the project.

Re: Villa Provisioning
',,,,,,and Starfish forgot to bring the order for our beer, wine and liquor so I had to drive there anyway to pick it all up which defeated the purpose of provisioning. I know that most of you would rather not pay the extra to have someone shop, deliver and put away groceries but the last thing I w...

Re: 2016 Upper Peter Bay!!
We stayed in Lower Peter Bay in 2008. One thing that we didn't like was the beach access, which proved to be more challenging then we were lead to believe by the rental agent. There may or may not be a parking area at the bottom of the (very steep) road from the gate house to the beach access area. ...

Re: Zozo's
We were there the beginning of the month. Both my husband and our son wore polos and shorts with "dress" flip flops. I wore a casual dress. There were plenty of guys in nice t-shirts (plain, no logos or ads) and shorts. We actually made our reservations for after sunset because I was worri...

We have used Christopher (and Dohms) since 2005 and I also recommend him. He shuttled us around STT for two days last month.

Where are you going? We did a couple of days in Old San Juan in 2013 (I think) and loved it. We are definitely going to return. We stayed at the foothills of El Yunque in 2014 and hiked in the rain forest, did the bio bay tour and the local sites. It was interesting. I am glad we saw that part of th...

Re: Infant UV Play Shade
We had several similar shades and I also recommend them. Our first one didn't make it home from STJ because my husband didn't know how to fold it and bent the frame. So you are wise to be practicing at home! Ours saw a lot of use on STJ and as a play tent at home. Have fun, I miss those days. Now I ...

I also make marinades. For veggies, I think it goes particularly well with roasted root vegetables. I have also sprinkled it on my "grill bread" which is nothing more than thick slices of a crusty bread brushed with olive oil and grilled on both sides. I like to serve this will a big green...
