OK...I'd like to be diplomatic and honest. I first stayed at Caneel in '85 on a honeymoon and have been back a few times over the years since for lunch, dinner, etc... If you're looking for a true island experience, a villa would perhaps be a better choice. If being fed (passably) good meals and hav...

Islandgal...we have never used travelers checks on STJ...as has been said, we bring some cash and cards...one of which is a ATM card. Always have been in great shape! Never a problem.

Saving Maho

A note of celebration (i hope)...$2.25 million has been "earmarked" by the federal government (feel how you might about these) for the aquisition of Maho for the Nat'l Park Service. After having read what I have over the past several months about the fate of this property, I'm relieved tha...

We've stayed at Sea Scape twice and it's been wonderful. Sunsets are beautiful, a pool and a hottub, massive decking and the bananaquits love to visit the sugarwater bowl. Depends on how many are traveling as the villa has a master bedroom, living area and kitchen and a separate "cottage" t...

Jay- we're open to anything. We'd prefer a skipper and a chef. We're relaxed and adventurous...have been coming to STJ since the mid '80s...and would like to get to know the islands from a different perspective...the water side.

Need advice for yatch chartering in the VI

Hi evereyone...We're being married in July and would like to spend five days to a week aboard a skippered boat prior to a week spent on STJ. Has anyone had wonderful experiences with a company or skipper in the USVI waters for that length of time? Thanks!
