Re: 3 BR Villa
Wow that is pretty non-specific. There are 100s of villas that have 3 bedrooms and are close to either Cruz Bay or Coral Bay. It might help to be a little more specific. Do you need AC, a pool, a hot tub, everyone to have a private bath, need an outdoor shower, want an easy driveway to get in and ou...

Re: Car Barge Update
"I am told that if I get there by 2:30 and show my paid receipt, I'm guaranteed a spot" ...... sandybottom - not to discourage you but most (if not all) locals buy round trips because the 2 companies that (usually) run honor each others tickets so everyone has a "paid receipt" -...

Re: Dinner first night in STJ
Our first night we like to do carry out (Uncle Joe's) since we've been traveling all day. Next week we'll getting up at 3:00 am, leave for the airport at 4:00 am arrive at STT at 1:00 pm, catch the 3:00 ferry and finally get to villa shortly before 4:00 pm. So we'll save our first night out for a gr...

We have stayed at Ocean Palm Villa for the last six years. The property went through a rough time when the bank took it. However over the last two years the property has really made a come back. The management company is doing a great job and we are returning next year. You can rent the Ocean Palm ...

Re: Countdown begins....
We have walked from that entry onto Reef Bay all the way to the ruins on far east side of Reef Bay. There is one point of rocks that you have to navigate around but it is worth it. We actually do this we want to show folks the petroglyphs.

Re: Countdown begins....
Can you tell me where you access Reef Bay? As you drive in to Fish Bay I know you keep heading right toward the water. There is parking for 2-3 cars on the rode and then take the "rope trail" to the beach. Looking at the water you are far right of Reef Bay. We usually walk to the left 50-...

Sherry, we owned a 2BR at the Westin for years (still own a studio) and it is great especially if you have kids. There is so much for kids to do at the Westin. I've never stayed at Sunset but I think it would be fine for 2 couples or a couple with older kids who don't constant entertainment. Mike in...

Re: Countdown begins....
Reef Bay has great snorkeling but on some days the entry and exit are a little difficult but well worth it. Last time we were there, like all spots seem to be, it was pretty crowded for a more "remote" snorkel spot.

Our first snorkel in Kiddle Bay was 13 years ago and people thought we were crazy for going there. As iheartsj said it was really crowded the last time we went.

Re: Advice on snorkel fins
Again I believe it is a personal preference. I prefer full fins with the strap in the back. HOWEVER - I believe the mask it by far the most important part of snorkel gear. I suggest going to a local dive shop and finding a mask that fits you well. The money spent on a great mask is worth the investm...

We've stayed with another couple in a Gallows Point loft and it was okay, a little tight but doable. We also stayed with this same couple in a 2BR Cruz View villa and that was much better.

All these are great choices and I would add Johnson's Reef, Steven Cay & Henley Cay to the list.Exit Zero wrote:Flanagan Is. -- Newfound Bay -- Whistling Cay -- Congo Cay -- North side of Thatch Cay - Pelican Rock -- Carvel Rocks
