Tracy, I'd like to hear deets about that. Did the guest say anything further? I have never heard the true story of a barracuda attacking a person.

How's the weather?

Friend just got there today and implied that we'll be able to scuba right outside our condo. Hmmmmm (STT, this.) What's happening? Thanks!

The barracudas just want a little love. Once you start to scuba you will notice that there is always a barracuda hanging out by the boat just watching the divers go down and come back up again after their dive. Pretty cool! 8)

Great thread. Hurray for our service people and vets.

Mr Cat and I went to the Veteran's Day Parade on Fifth Avenue in NYC today. If there's anyone to celebrate and support it's our people in uniform.

Hurray!

(AND it's my birthday.)

This is a surprise (to me). I expected to tune in this morning and read about the great time everyone's having. It's sure been a wet late summer - early Autumn.

Rain, rain go away! Come again in a few days gently sprinkling between 2 and 5 a.m. to keep things fresh.

Must get toasty in those containers. Imagine?

Also, you get to put in your own septic!

Well, I'm about to get $5million from my friend in Namibia, so maybe I can look into this.

Hope it's a brand new day tomorrow. I remember being stranded for 5 hours at an upstairs restaurant several years ago during a flash flood where I actually saw a car float by. The next day brought sunshine. Hope all is back to sunniness very soon. Just got back from California (Hello, California Gir...

northerngal, Wetsuits aren't so stiff and hard to get in and out of any more. Each year they get more flexible as materials improve. I've been through several, using them when diving was still macho and you weren't if you wore a wetsuit. I use them diving an snorkeling. Besides keeping you warm and ...

If you're only going to snorkel, yes, fortunately, the shorter fins are better. Another thing is to get flexible ones; softer ones; since these are easier on you when you swim on the surface of the water. I dive and my stiffish long fins are great for underwater propulsion. But they feel so differen...

Oh, wow, that is neat. To me the tops of hurricanes always look like the heads of a mug of beer.

Glad Earl's gone from the islands. Of course, I'm getting him this weekend.

Cheers!

jimg20, you might not even have to be the one to pull the trigger. With this storm and the next one coming the airlines might be cancelling for several days. What are you hearing?

This is always my philosophy: If the planes are flying, we're going. It hasn't let me down. Good luck!
