My husband and I visited Vieques about 9 years ago so our information is slightly dated. We had friends that had been living on the island for a few years. We thought the island was very pretty and laid back; the military was still there at the time and some parts of the island were off limits if I ...

I can't give you first hand knowledge yet, but we've booked St. John Passion for a week in December and will definitely write a review when we come back. I thought the view was spectacular in the pictures-we've stayed in Cruz Bay, Concordia and Calabash Boom area before and wanted to try this area f...

Yummy! Told my primarily vegetable eating husband about this one as soon as I saw it. If I remember correctly Katilady used to have a take out restaurant that was mainly vegetarian that he'd go to so he was disappointed when that closed down. We both love Meditteranean/Middle Eastern so that's a big...

We fly out of Buffalo; I don't know if that's a better price than Rochester would be-I'd think that it might be more competitive or give you more options maybe? Currently we have beginning of December tickets for $490 total each on USAir just to give you an idea. I thought that was pretty reasonable...

Great photos! Thanks for posting them. It's nice that you can almost always catch rainbows on St. John. My mom had a thing for rainbows from her connection to DeColores and the church, so whenever I see one I figure she's watching out for me. It makes St. John that much more special!

If I remember correctly, is that road fairly steep and full of big pot holes?

I'll jump in on this one too. I've never spoken to Ronnie nor stayed at the Crystal Palace, but husband and I needed a place for a Saturday night in December this year, so I emailed him a few weeks ago on a Friday night at 10pm to see if he allowed reservations for just one night. I had a reply from...

Thanks for the trip report! I liked the layout of it-very helpful. I hear you on how sometimes to get to STJ you have to econimize. Hubby and I have stayed at the Concordia Studios before-love the view from that side of the island. Nice to hear details about the eco-tents; I'd definitely consider st...

Thanks Bill! We're looking forward to trying a different part of the island. For such a "small" island each area is so unique. We started at Gallows Point 10 years ago, and have since been to Concordia and Calabash Boom. Rendezvous Bay will be different in its own right. Wanted to try the ...

st. john passion villa

Hey all-
Does anyone have any info about this villa? It's only been mentioned a couple of times here. We've rented it for a week in December; just wondered if anyone was familiar with it or the area. It's on Rendezvous Bay.
Thanks for any feedback!

You can rent the belts on STJ. I don't think they were much money-less than snorkel gear. I rented one somewhere in Wharfside Village I believe. That way you can try it out first and see how you like it.

Hey Anthony and all- Just a small thing, and maybe only bothering me, but I'm having difficulty with the way the messages "line up" when I read them. In other words, if there's 5 people's messages on a page, I get "confused" by who's message is with who's profile/picture/name. I ...
