Re: Buzzkill? No, Cluck kill... Not on my watch!
I've launched and run three very successful restaurants on St John: The Beach Bar with Allan, Tage with Ted & Bill, and The Tourist Trap with Larry. Trust me... unless you have money you can afford to throw away, you do not want to come down here and open a restaurant until you come down here a...

I went to key west last month. It was very touristy and I got the flu. The beaches are not soft sand, they are rocky and annoying. The views are beautiful but nothing like St John. Drinking is a sport there and its pretty much all there is to do if you're not doing a water sport. Things were also ve...

Carnival!
Whats the skinny? I'm gonna be on St John for the festivities and I'd love to know what I shouldn't miss and well... what I should miss. I'm really excited to be down there for it, the trip is only a few days away now. Anyone experienced with this? Google's image results: http://www.google.com/image...

That's much better: they power giant turbines with jet fuel. I can't find that evidenced anywhere. Please cite your source for this information. That fact is HIGHLY unlikely and very impractical. Jet fuel burns wayyy too fast and its very very expensive. I read that St Thomas has a lot of gas turbi...

Which island in the USVI is your favorite?
For the benefit of newcomers to the forum, as well as newcomers to the island chain itself. Please vote on your favorite USVI island from the major 4. I'd also just like to know which island is the favorite of my fellow forumites.

St Croix Ferry
I heard from a local that the ferry doesn't run during this time of year. Can't find that on any websites though.
