Re: Good Italian?
We ate at both Cafe Roma and DaLivio's in February. Both were very good. We had salad, app (mussels, I think) and Pizza at DaLivio's - all were very good; service was good, as well. Don't remember what we had at Cafe Roma, but it was also good. I believe that you can still only order pizza at the ba...

Not necessarily. With only 2 of you, it will be easy to take taxi's/hike to the nearby beaches. With only 4 days, don't go crazy trying to get everywhere. Our first trip was 4 days and we didn't rent a vehicle at all.
Enjoy - you'll be back!

Re: VG first, then STJ or STJ then VG?
We did both a few years ago. We did VG first to make the travel home a lot easier. We went in November and VG was very quiet.
Have a great trip.

Re: Friday departure
We usually plan so that we don't depart on a Saturday. We left on a 2:40p flight last Friday
We were at the airport fairly early (noonish) and breezed through the AA ticket counter and security. Around 1pm, the gate area started to fill up.
Enjoy your trip!

You could look at Aqua Bay villas - in Frank Bay walkable if you don't mind some hills. There are 4 units that would share a small pool.

We've had one for a few years (got it at Amazon, I think). It's great - sand doesn't stick and it packs back into it's little self-pouch really quickly.
Reminds me that I need to get it out this weekend.

Re: Think I found the spot for next trip!
We also stayed at Stone Harbor in November, 2011. We liked it a lot. Really convenient and great to be able to walk to places for dinner. It took us a bit to get used to the bedroom setup, but it was OK. The sunrises were great. And even though it is close to Cocolobo, we were never bothered with no...

Re: No St John trip this year... BUT....
We've gone to Sanibel/Captiva the last couple of years and love it there. We went during May which was the off-season, so not crowded and rates decreased. Fly into Fort Myers and its ~40 minute drive south. I would expect it to be crowded (traffic) and as others have said, weather might be iffy - wh...

Not to dissuade your quest for a trip, but we saw nothing but Trunk Bay on our first trip and it was enough to keep us going back. And don't plan on going beyond Trunk Bay on our next trip (well, except for that little 8-tuff thing). If you do go, hope to meet you finally, as we'll be there that week.

Re: 57 days to 8 Tuff and I ...
Oh, sorry to hear about your injury. Ouch.
When I read the title, I thought you were just going to say what I've been thinking - need to get off my a$$ and train harder.
No problem with extra walking. This is my first 8-tuff and I expect to be crawling part of it.
Hope to meet you in Feb.
