Re: What's on your Play List??

Never really thought of having an island playlist, just bring my iPod and play what's on it. After reading your responses I'm wondering if I need to add some different music to mine  . I like anything from rap to Bruno Mars. I really can't stand country music (and I'm from MS, go figure), but...

Re: Calabash Boom vs Bordeaux Mountain vs Gifft Hill

It seems from your replies that we can't really go wrong whichever villa we choose! I'd love to see a sunset from our deck, but I'm also liking the easy drive to Francis and Maho. Francis is my go-to happy place. We also have dark country roads around here so the night drive doesn't bother me that m...

Re: Calabash Boom vs Bordeaux Mountain vs Gifft Hill

Thank y'all so much! Coconuts is our front runner at the moment. I'm still considering Alta Vista on Bordeaux Mt. Any comments/concerns about that area?

Calabash Boom vs Bordeaux Mountain vs Gifft Hill

I'm starting my search for our villa next June/July. Yeah, I know it's over a year out, but what can I say? We stayed at Astral Villa last time and LOVED the views, serenity and privacy of that place. The drive didn't bother us in the least since we are used to "off-roading" minus the incl...

Re: What is your villa calculus?

I've only been on an extended stay one time, but am researching our trip with our teenage boys next year :D . Last time we stayed in Astral Villa and absolutely fell in love with that place, but wanted to try something different this time. I'm a rookie at this, but here's my breakdown: 50% Price. We...

Created this on the deck of Astral Villa: Cruzan Vanilla Rum and root beer. We named it "The Panty Dropper" We also like the fruit flavored Cruzan with orange juice or orange soda.

Re: Airfare Depression

WOW! What time of year are you flying? We are watching prices for the end of June first of July for next year and it looks like we'll drive 5 hours to Atlanta to grab flights for $489. After hotel and gas, we'll still save over $200 than flying out of Jackson ($734). Plus we've always wanted an excu...

Re: Questions about Carnival

Thank you so much! Maybe we'll see you next year....we are probably the right people to experience Carnival with. Been going to Mardi Gras in NOLA for years and can pace myself quite well:mrgreen:.

Re: How do you dry your beach stuff...?

We hang ours in the shower, over the sink, on the toilet (closed of course). Never really had an issue with drying things since, as Exit said, we always have 2-3 suits and alternate days.

Questions about Carnival

We've decided we'll be on island during Carnival 2014 (YAY!). I have a couple of questions....... 1. Will there be an issue with ferry service to Virgin Gorda on the 5th or do things pretty much run *as usual* once Carnival is over? I really want to go to VG this trip and will either have to do it o...

That's great to hear! Now the villa search begins. Am I the only one who has a love/hate relationship doing that?

Re: Trip report: 17 more days in paradise, part one

Glad to hear you were able to make it to STJ on July 4th. We were nervous about trying it on July 2nd next year. I also love your trip reports!

The "spa ladies" cracked me up!
