They actually dont reccomend open toes (I am sure keens or sturdy tevas would be fine). I wore a tankini with lighweight shorts and a short sleeved shirt, and hat. We packed a full lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and bite stick, and a towel. The day goes from 9am until 3:30pm ENJOY! It's a great...
