Re: Boat in Maho
Speaking of rangers. A couple of months ago was the one and only time I witnessed a ranger on the beach at Hawksnest talking to someone about having a bottle on the beach. That was the first time since the government shutdown and also then last time I've seen a ranger working (other than Trunk) and ...

Re: Boat in Maho
You can only come close to shore by way of staying in between the red and green bouys. If you are dropping people off you may bring the dinghy up on the beach in the buoy area.. The boats should always tie up to the mooring balls and never drop anchor in the swim area. Some of the really big boats d...

Re: Beach Bar - Still the same?
I have to admit I was a little nervous about the new ownership, but they are great. The food is the same, drinks are delish and the view can't be beat. A few of the old bartenders are gone but the new ones are really friendly and know how to do their job. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Re: Just ridiculous!
Today, I was asked to leave Hawksnest and Maho. My advice to anyone visiting is to go to Saloman, Jumbie, Trunk or Cinnamon. The ranger today didn't bother hiking down to any of the beaches but would just replace the plastic tape and barricades at these locations. My friend was at Trunk all day and ...

Just ridiculous!
I went to Hawksnest today and after 20 minutes was told to leave the beach. We talked with many tourists who my heart breaks for. Buck Island on STX remains open I dont understand how they can do this. Even the childrens park across from Mongoose Junction is closed. STOP THE INSANITY!!

Re: Fish Bay/Reef Bay Area Insight
Dont forget to hike the Fish Bay Gut. The entrance is on the left as you go over the bridge into Fish Bay. Right now there is water in the gut from recent rains so you should see the waterfall and there is also a rope swing. We hiked up for over an hour with kids and it was pretty easy. Bring lots o...

Forecaster Jones posted on Facebook that STJ received 9-10 inces yesterday and we should expect another 5 inches today.

Re: 9 grain bread .. YUM !
Starfish has had it and it is really good. You can also buy the bread freshly made at deli grotto that they use for most of their sandwiches for five dollars a loaf.

Re: Re-location
Its really hard to find a boat down here. We have been looking for a while now and haven't had any luck. We hope to purchase and ship it from Florida and it will probably cost around 5k to ship.
