Re: Scorpion in the bathroom

Re: What does your forum name mean?

I had a house on the water in Bath, NC. Had to name the jet ski something. My dad suggested 'Puddlejumper'. I also did a bit of flying, so the two went together. This happened in the early internet days. Puddlejumper has stuck with me ever since.

Banana Deck is a great choice! I would also consider Zero Sushi as a possibility. Call ahead to any you choose to give the staff a heads up.

Re: Dolphin Market Parking

My wife and I are sitting here having a laugh at your expense because this parking is soo easy, so thank you. I haven't noticed if this is your first visit to St John, but I assume it is. We have a couple of ideas for parking. 1. You could park in Coral Bay by the Triangle and take the bus. Just tel...

Sounds like you are well on your way to a sabbatical. There is nothing quite like sailing in the VI.

Would you share the name of your charter company for the Chessie? Any other comments about them would be welcome.

Re: Villas with on-site caretakers

My good friends, Brian and Katie, live on site at this beautiful villa in Fish Bay. I didn't notice how many were in your group and what time of year you wanted to visit. Here is their Facebook page and their website.

Re: Best site for photo storage?

I have tried Tinypic, and Google's Picasa. Picasa is my usual choice. It has easy editing features, links to post various sizes of photos. You can create public and private albums, too. Tinypic has been useful to post one photo for a forum I use seldom. Google continues to improve Picasa. Plus, it's...

Park alongside the road. There is a National Park Stone wall like you see anywhere on island that marks the entrance to the trail head. You can get an idea of where it is on Google Maps.

Re: Spirit Air

I did a red eye from LAX to FLL to STT once. Was able to purchase the 'Big Front Seat' for a deal and loved it. I sat next to an expat that lived in Belize, fun conversation. I think the whole trip was $350, but it was several years ago. I have no complaints because they are a discount airline, and ...
