Re: Searching for small coastal towns to visit/retire
Lots of great suggestions everyone! :D Thank you all for taking the time to post. I see many trips in my future.... Heather-I do like the Oregon coast; it is beautiful, and it is a possibility; just not sure about those darn rainfall totals! Exit Zero-the Cape May area has those gorgeous Victo...

Re: Searching for small coastal towns to visit/retire
Thank you for all the suggestions so far; I can see that we will have some driving vacations ahead of us.
I'm looking forward to exploring; it was a bitter winter last year, and moving more south sounds better and better all the time!
Any suggestions are appreciated and will be investigated!

Searching for small coastal towns to visit/retire
Hi all, Husband and I are starting to think ahead to retirement in 15 (?) years and would like to start visiting potential areas to end up. We are looking for, smaller sized towns that probably have a tourist base so they would have nice restaurants, a good downtown area to walk around, waterfront, ...

So sorry to read this. As a long time volunteer with a canine rescue it is a joy seeing how much a pet can affect people's lives and how much in turn the pets are loved by their people. If you're not familiar with the Rainbow Bridge poem, it might help. http://www.legendofrainbowbridge.com/poem.html...

Re: OT Trip Report & Photos > Central Europe Part 1
Congratulations and please do keep posting! Isn't it funny about the lack of ice? Was that pretty consistent from country to country? I wondered. We made our first venture to Europe two years ago to Venice and a cruise and returned to Venice again last year. I am a serious ice in my water/soda perso...

Re: St Thomas Hotel
Hi, We have stayed at several places, either before or after. Sometime it just depends on what our plans are, how many days we will be there, price point, and if there's anything we would like to see/do on STT. If we want to start our beach lounging early, we stay at Emerald Beach and watch the plan...

"Discovered" spyglass a few trips ago and would then go several times for happy hour. Great bartenders and servers. Sorry to read this

Thanks for posting
We went for the first time in December splitting a trip between STT, VG and JVD. Doing the same again in December, might need to being a kite with us this time. That looked like fun. We watched planes come in and that was a wild experience!
