Re: What's up with rental cars to non Americans?

The Westin resort has many non-american guests. Most guests use O'Connor Car Rental located at the resort. I would call or e-mail them for more info. info@oconnorcarrental.com 340-776-6343 office 340-779-4440 Fax I can't imagine thinking about not coming! Find out more details and pack your bags. :...

What's up with rental cars to non Americans?

Hi! As some of you know, we're from Sweden and my husband and I are planning to visit St John in April. I'm looking for rental cars and find that you now need to have a temporar permit if you hold a non US drivers licence. Not only does it cost another $20, it also seems like you need to pick that u...

Re: Back to the Islands: Virgin Gorda and St. John - Part 2

Thanks for a great report and as always great pictures. Miss VG. The Mineshaft was really empty when we were there too (April) and we were a little worried that it wasn't going to be good, but everyone in our 9 people large group were surprisingly happy with our dishes. I'm looking forward to next i...

Re: Pic's Pics & Report 2013 - Vol. 1

Thanks for sharing. Wonderful pictures as usual. I also love slender filefish and like you I came back from my last trip with only blurry pictures of them. We found two of them together, but still no luck. Last year, I managed to get one and that was my best slender filefish picture ever. Love the o...

Re: Virgin Gorda then St. John

I like St. John beaches better just because there are more beaches to explore. There is more driving on Virgin Gorda to get to the beaches but it is a beautiful place. I do agree that there are more beaches and beaches on both the north and south side of St John, but if you stay in the south or mid...

Re: Trip Report - May 4-11

Thanks Laura for the information. It sounds like it won't be a big issue for us either, if we decide to rent it. No kids and we usually don't scream much either. We might use the grill sometimes though. I will look at it as you have someone watching the house for free  It sure looks like a love...

Re: Trip Report - May 4-11

After doing a research about Caribbean Jewels where you stayed, it seems like the neighbor above is very sensitive to noise, especially from the pool. Did you have any encounters? We might rent this villa and we are really not loud at all, so I don't think it's an issue, but I wanted to check anyway.

Re: Need help finding a villa

Thanks everyone! My head is spinning by all villa searching :). But so far, not decided anything. CBama, great review of Fun and Contentment. Looks good. Might be the one in the lead so far. Anyone else stayed there? UF Prof, thanks for the suggestion. And how fun, going to VG. Exactly what we'll do...

Re: Need help finding a villa

Thanks, will check them out too :). I never thought it would be this hard to find the right villa. I was dreaming about villas last night, lol. I might step back for a while and take another look again in a couple of days.

I really appreciate all suggestions.

Re: Virgin Gorda then St. John

Guavaberry spring bay manages a number of private villas, if you don't want to stay in one of their more basic cottages. Google Guavaberry Spring Bay vacation homes. There are also villas in Mahoe Bay and in Leverick Bay in north sound. I have not stayed in any of the villas (except a small studio c...
