Hi Rhonda, as promised here is my review of pine cone drive villa: Pine cone drive villa is owned by Catherine Stephen, she also has a taxi on STJ. It's located in fish bay on skytop road, a couple of switchbacks down from sol inclination and south shore villa. It's on VRBO and Catherine got back to...

Re: short term parking at the passenger ferry at cruz bay

If you're willing to pay 3.00 for an hour, there are a couple of parking lots on strand st., close to the ferry AND the beach bar, you could park, have a painkiller, and wait for your traveler! :D

Re: Candies

Had dinner there yesterday, really good BBQ chicken, plantains, and coleslaw. We got there about 5:00'ish and she was cooking the chicken and ribs so none were available for about an hour...so keep that in mind in case you're starving or in a hurry. Several people ordered ahead and picked it up, her...

Re: Waterlemon and Haulover North today

Hi David, ha! We get in, look around, get out, and move on. We thought the water was warm. I never felt cold, we both had on rash guard shirts and swim shorts. The weather has been perfect since we've been here, rainy mornings, but then the sun comes out and it warms up fast :D .

Waterlemon and Haulover North today

My husband and I snorkeled these two today. Waterlemon first about 8:30 this morning. It was really beautiful, early enough so we had the place to ourselves, we went counter clockwise, the coral was just spectacular, then it started pouring. Snorkeling in the pouring rain was wild, I loved it! Next ...

Re: Any forumites on STJ this weekend (1/23-25)?

"For sure"? We were out at Maho for the day, paddle boarding with West Indian take out, and got to the Beach Bar at 3:40 PM, staying until a bit after 5. I am reasonably sure that you guys had been diverted. I did run into the crowd renting Coconuts, and even met a young woman from Kansas...

Re: De Coal Pot

My husband and I ate there last night. We both had the chicken roti, nice flavor, I've never had roti before, the chicken still has the bones on it inside of a thin cornmeal wrap, with chunks of potato, and a spicy curry sauce. We had to look around for the restaurant, it's on the one way street tha...

Re: Natl Environment Law Firm Offers Services to Save Coral

Caw954s --even if the USVI is not in your region you can right a comment as a concerned visitor to the USVI. Please, if you want to stop the Summer's End Marina and have the time, write a letter to the Army Corps. The more letters the better. Thank you. PS I noticed that you are from Kansas City. I...

Re: Natl Environment Law Firm Offers Services to Save Coral

I just looked at the save coral bay site, it's an excellent site with links to comment letters. I'm a federal employee and I sometimes make comments on NEPA documents if it involves any type of ecological risk (unfortunately, the USVI is not in my region :( ). Public comments are really important, a...
