Underrated: The Balcony. We ate there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, at sunset. The view is just wonderful. The service is top notch. The waitstaff knows the menu, down to what were the little white bits in the fruit salsa - they were pear. They must have a seperate person who just plate...

I forgot to mention my worst meal. We stopped by Deli Grotto to pick up something for an easy dinner on the porch. They had a spinach quiche - I love spinach quiche! What a disappointment when I got home. I think it was a VEGAN spinach qhiche. I was ready to sink into a creamy, rich cheesy quiche an...

Shame, shame on ZoZo's. This means that the price of your gift of a bottle of wine was displayed to you. How tacky! They should be ashamed!

We have a three year old Blue Merle Sheltie named Buddy. His nickname is Buddles. I also use this for my geocaching name.

STJ trip report 3 - final: food and misc.

Drinks : We aren't drinkers. We did have fruit punch at every restaurant. Each was different - some were more citric, others had more tropical fruits. The winner was Chilly Billy's. We had a few drinks during the week - mostly to try Painkillers. None was better than the original at the Soggy Dolla...

Our arrival at the ferry wasn't as bad as yours and half of our group was ready to leave (not hubby and I but some of our group with kids had it rougher than those of us without). By the next day they werer glad they ahd stayed but it makes it really hard to get on island time when everyone is so u...

Trip Report: Part 2: Snorkeling, Boat Excursions 3/10 - 3/17

I've read in the forum that the first time on St. John you should just stay on the island, but we may never go to St. John again. There are so many places in the world that we want to visit. We decided that this may be the only time we get a chance to visit the BVI. Monday New Horizons II BVI Trip T...

Buddles Trip Report: Part 1 Getting There

We are avid snorkelers and try to take a snorkeling vacation every year. My husband is new to the sport. His first experience was in Maui four years ago. Since then we have snorkeled in Key West, Key Largo and Grand Cayman. We were interested in visiting St. John because the reefs are so accessible ...

I had a couple favorite parking spots in Cruz Bay. I loved parking in Slimman's lot. He was a true gentleman. The longer I talked with him, the lower my rate seemed to be. I always waved to him when I drove by. There are about ten spots near the National Park pier that are sometimes open. Also in th...

We returned 10 days ago from a week at Coconut Coast. We were very pleased. Our needs are simple - a bed and a refrigerator. They were far exceeded. The studio had two queen beds - the one we used was very comfortable. There was a ceiling fan and an air conditioner. The porch was amazing. It was ver...

I had a similar situation on Saturday, probably compounded by Friday's east coast storm. We arrived one hour prior to boarding time. This was not nearly enough time. American Airlines had individual checkin lines for each flight. There was no line for our flight. Fortunately we had checked in from w...

I'm sorry to disagree, but this was a handicapped parking space. This parking spot is not there as a trap. These spaces are there for people with true handicaps, like the elderly, the disabled and our wounded veterans. They are not convenience spots. Sorry to rain on your parade.
