I can't comment as I have no experience but I have to ask what would happen if the second villa was no where near as nice as the first would you be disappointed ? Pia Excellent point! We'd possibly do Astral Ridge our second week bc we've already stayed there. That's another issue I'm having......s...

We've done both -- we stayed two weeks at the same place, and on a different visit, split between two houses. There are advantages to both. If you stay put for 2 weeks, you don't have to do the pack-up-and-leave-the-villa routine twice, so it's more relaxing. You lose track of the passing days a bi...

Awesome report! I swear you could be posting the pics from our trip! I keep telling everyone that the ruins at Lameshur is my next "fixer-upper" house! We also know that lone palm tree in the middle of the beach at Salt Pond. It did us right our full day there. Francis is my heaven on eart...

May I Pick Your Brains for Suggestions?

Since we won't be back to stay on island until 2014  (we'll be there for a day on a cruise next year), we will be staying 2 weeks :D ! Here's my question: Should we stay at the same villa the entire time or switch half-way? We stayed at Astral Ridge and I can honestly say I've never been so rel...

Excellent report but I have a question about the roadside Assistance- shouldn't the car rental dealership send someone to assist you for free if you have rented from them? We have never had a problem but I always assumed they wold help you out if there was a problem. We purchased the roadside assis...

I'm sorry we missed you for Inner Visions! We were able to get into our villa at 1600 that day in Coral Bay and never made it back to Cruz Bay that night.

Trip Report May 10-20

First of all a huge THANK YOU for everyone that posts here. The good and bad. This forum is invaluable to those of us who are new to St John. I'm not very good at trip reports, I tend to ramble so bear with me. I'm going to divide this into lodging, restaurants, beaches/activities and ruins. We stay...
