Well yes, I meant Candies! My kids loved it, the chicken was the best, then the ribs, and the fish was ok.

Kirk- I was just reporting what happened, however I did delete the woman's first name and reference to where she said she worked last week. So I don't really understand why my post would have been removed totally. I wonder why it is the persons who are "vicitims" are made to feel bad? Than...

Cypress girl- thank you for your kind words. Someone else had pointed out the same point in a much kinder tone and several days ago I edited my post and removed the references to who actually did crash in our driveway. However, not sure that matters because now I can't find my post. I think some peo...

Chris V- If you've seen the driveway before then you know it seems like a miracle she was ok. I hope you are renting a jeep because that would be all that could make it to the villa. Mia- I am worried now about further beach vacations and if I will always have a problem with my ear. I have had ear c...

Day7, parasailing and found my perfect beach!

I woke up first as always, this time around 7 am- late for me- to hear a jeep reving up. I snuck up the front steps to see that battered jeep heading up our steep driveway in a cloud of white smoke, driving a little jerky. Someone had arrived to pick up the jeep, and just like that traces of the nig...

The second to last night things get interesting....

OK, guys sorry for the teaser... I'm glad someone's listening though! We go to sleep with our doors open to feel the breeze and enjoy the tropical feel. There's a brief down pour which is so refreshing. I am sleeping a little restless and "in my dreams" I hear a horrible screeching sound, ...

Day 6, Vie's, Drunk Bay and Gibney

During the night I was getting worried that I wouldn't make it home on the plane. Maybe I'd need an IV, or my eardrum might rupture. I laid out on the deck a little watching the stars, then went in and finally slept, waking up feeling a little better, but not really able to hear much out of my ear d...

Day 5, 6/26 I'm sick, shopping and Cinnamon Bay

Through Monday night I could tell my ear was worsening. I felt fluid draining and my ear was painful to rest on. I was getting worried and lay there at times thinking and at times dozing. When I woke up, my ear canal was completely swollen shut! It felt like the side of my face was stuffed with cott...

We had our own experience with the VIPD on vacation. Soon to be detailed in my trip report. Lets just say they are not very organized. It was a VERY interesting trip in a lot of respects.

Day 4, Monday 6/25 Ocean Runner and the BVI's

Forgot to add that Sunday night after La Tapa we enjoyed dancing (at least I did!) to a Reggae singer that was singing down by the water. No one wanted to dance with me, except my graduate who did for about 15 seconds to mug for the camera. I noticed a guy with a Forum t-shirt on taking videos and w...

Wolfhound, I was also interested in Splendore, but didn't want my graduate to sleep on a hide-a-bed. We also looked at Anole (booked) and La Papaya (booked by the time we decided). Hope you checked out the pictures I posted. The view is even better than the pictures as those just show the view to th...

Two questions, two answers: A mosquito magnet is a green machine that puts out I believe some ionic attractant for mosquitos and traps them. I know Frontgate sells them. I think that things like that attract mosquitos to an area and living in 5 wooded acres, I am hesitant to attract the little critt...

We saw a baby black tip at the beach at the end of the reef bay hike and a nurse shark at Francis Bay. Nurse sharks are bottom feeders like big huge catfish and don't come after large prey. A baby shark wouldn't go after huge prey either- just little fish it gobbles up. We were never scared.

Day 3, Sun 6/24, Reef Bay hike

Today woke up to some showers. This seemed to happen half the mornings. Skies were probably the most cloudy of our trip this day. Today we headed to Chilly Billy's as we had fond memories of eating out here for our other trip with the kids. Today, it was ok, I was a bit peeved because no one wanted ...
