I recently finished The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot. It's a true story, and an interesting read. I also enjoyed The Paris Wife, (Paula McLain)and The Invisible Bridge (Julie Orringer)
PA Girl - that's the reason I didn't buy the book. The salesgirl at the bookstore said that she absolutely loved it, but that her mother had a really hard time with it...

I just finished Jodi Picoult's House Rules. I really liked the book but felt unsatisfied with the ending. I figured out what had happened so there was no surpirse at the end, but I was left wondering "well, how did that get resolved"?

I'm looking for a good read for vacation next week.
Agreed. It was a flat ending.

Our longest trip was 12 nights and it seemed just about perfect to me. I felt more relaxed and not like the countdown timer was working in reverse. On day 13 I felt peacefully resigned to our departure, but still wish I had a new ticker.
