Re: Virgin Gorda... First Visit-Part Seven

We will be staying at a place at Nail Bay very soon, http://www.nailbay.com/sugar_mill.php I looked at guavaberry, but wasn't sure of the views, though the proximity of the Baths looks outstanding. I tend to be a villa gravity person so I like to sit and watch the water.....and any boat activity. I ...

Re: Overnight in STT

I vote for Emerald beach too. Especially for such an early flight home. We have stayed at a number of places on STT and when we had an early flight we stayed at EB. It was relaxing laying out on their beach on the final afternoon and watching flights. We travel light and we walked to the airport in ...

Re: Ya gotta love Maine...

We were up in Boothbay Harbor last year; was amazed at how cheap lobster was, some apparent overabundance. We explored the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens-soooo pretty! We were there in the rain and enjoyed it enormously so I can only imagine how nice it must be in good weather. :)

Re: Shut off the water, please

The pictures and videos are hard to wrap your head around-so much devastation :( The roads that are completely gone-can't even begin to think how that will all get rebuilt.

Re: Spending night on St Trauma

That's too bad about your flight change; hate when those things happen. We stayed at windward passage years ago and I know we walked to the ferry dock with luggage. Probably depends on how much luggage you have. :? We have stayed at crystal palace too but that's not walkable i don't think. I persona...

We are booked :)

Thanks to the replies and links to my initial post on the STJ forum, we have booked three nights each on Virgin Gorda and Jost, with two nights on STT. Vicki's blog helped sway us to Jost, and Virgin Gorda gets glowing reviews too. it was a toss up on VG between Guavaberry and Nail Bay but since we ...

Re: Well I have a ticker, but I think for the BVI's...

Thanks everyone for their replies. We have decided to stay on both Virgin Gorda and Jost so as to experience both islands. I'll post more on the bvi forum. Ken, those fares were Buffalo to STT On Delta. I just looked at what they cost and they were $351/pp inclusive. It's a Tuesday to Wednesday trip...

Hey ski2play, what made you choose Jost?

We are just not sure what where we want to be yet.

Yeah Barb, wasn't it you who pointed out the fares? Thanks! :)

Well I have a ticker, but I think for the BVI's...

Finally couldn't take work stress anymore and jumped on the Delta flight deals. I think they were only $360/person/r/t out of Buffalo in December. Couldn't pass it up. We'd been debating and looking and trying to decide if we wanted to explore strange new worlds and seek out new life and new civiliz...

Re: Hey Western New Yorkers

Thanks Barb :)
I got an alert from Travelocity; the prices on delta seem to be offered for several months too out of Buffalo. They ran a sale last year too which we took advantage of. Seems like the dates are extended this time which is great for everyone!
