Re: Lunch at Cinnamon Bay? (John Thomas)
We ate there a couple of years ago, Chicken Cesear Salads, nothing bad to report. However, there were cats everywhere.

Re: Gibney parking
If you see the white fencing, you have gone beyond the gate. Best parking spot is 3 spots from the gate on the left, that way no one will block you in and you leave enough space for 2 cars to park in front of you. Don't forget, do not set up in front of the cottages, rather, go to the end of the bea...

Re: What to do with left over villa food?
We leave any unopened items for the cleaning crew. Place a note on the refrigerator door letting them know what is inside. Put all the dry goods on the countertop in one spot. The gesture will be well appreciated.

The next month of work is not going to be a lot of fun, so it will be very gratifying when we make it to the Island on Memorial Day.

Re: End of August on St John
Hi iheartsj, thanks for letting me know when hurricane season starts...in the last 15 years all the major hurricanes hitting the Virgin Islands have been during the last few days of August into September and even into October. Hence, we will not visit during that time. We have been visiting since 19...

Re: End of August on St John

More often that not, power is out for much longer than what we experienced. The weather was awesome 2 days before we got hit (the calm before the storm) and ...

Re: Rash guards
Check your local dive shops...always a great place to start...you can try them on before buying...Amazon is also a good place to shop for them. I am fair skinned and love my rash guards.

Are there stables on St. Thomas that have horses that are actually allowed to ride on a sandy beach? Thanks for any help.

Re: Must do' for a first timer on STJ
In my opinion – the best kept secret beach on STJ is Gibney Beach (aka: Oppenheimer Beach). This is my favorite beach. It is just past Hawksnest. I first found it by swimming around the point from Hawksnest. When the tide is out – you have a nice wide beach that the coconut trees hang over the beac...

Miss Lucy's Full Moon Party
Does Miss Lucy's still do a full moon party? If so, what does it consist of? Is it a special menu? Is there live music? Any info would be much appreciated.
