Vikki you are a woman of virtue and character for saving Matt's hat!! .... a man's hat doesn't fit right until it is beaten into submission and darn near ready to fall apart.... then it is a damn fine hat.

Love the report!

Ha ha, Connie! So I guess my Husband's fear's are not unfounded. Poor guy. Nah... there aren't any iguanas on the USVIs.... especially over at Sugar Bay resort on St. Thomas.. http://fedloa.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pKn72ACLvQ8xAggnzDzm70O6V8LjvgAL_xDSJ6mFuMIJGOPfrzxNEc0bn7eoXcZCtruJ76O5Fv75j4c5WLy6z...

I'm here at work. And for that, I'm very thankful. My wish is for all that have had trouble with employment this year to get an even better job than they had. (don't worry, I also had turkey brunch with my Mom and Aunt before coming in and will be going to the wife's grandmother's for desert here in...

There is a US mail service place in Red Hook just up the hill from the ferry. When Christine and I were there last April (perfect weather, perfect water!) I shipped back all the crap we dragged down (paid over $150 in baggage fees) plus a lot of stuff we picked up shopping in Charlotte Amalie for un...

Bevm has it right. I have become a grand champion of ice-packing after 13 knee surgeries. I always used to carry around a ziplock or 2 in my pocket and pretty much any person at a restaurant or bar or any place with ice will fill it for you if you ask nicely. (never had anyone say no) ...even airlin...

I would at least go tour the Annaberg Sugar Mill ruins... it's not really a hike, more of a walk around a state-park historical area....which it just happens to be. Good photo ops there. Afterwards you could stop at any of the North shore beaches. If you haven't snorkeled waterlemon, you should. My ...

I used to often rent a cabin in the mountains and turned some of my friends onto it. We started hiding things in the cabin (good soaps and shampoos and toothpastes in the water heater closet, dish soap behind the crisper bottom drawer in the fridge...etc.) My donation to the cause was very clever, I...

I guess I'm going to be somewhat of the devil's advocate here... My advice would be to rent a jeep... but rent a scooter for 4hrs one nice afternoon and go around the island on it....It's like controlling your own personal roller coaster ride! I'm an experienced rider and I found it challe...

A couple years ago, I bought a "VIP Introductory Package" from Wyndham and we got 8 nights in Hawaii and 7 nights in St. Thomas for about $2000... not bad. Both resorts were exceptional (the Elysian Beach in St. Thomas is right next to the Ritz.) It is a good way to see if timeshare progra...

a fond memory revisited and drink named - St. John Champagne

I was at a cabin in the woods a couple weeks ago and I came across a bottle of Cruzan dark rum and some Ginger Ale (Canada Dry). This Spring, our first night on the island, we got in late and had just enough time to grab a couple bottles of Cruzan, but we forgot to get mixers. I found a drink machin...

oh, and also... go ahead and rent the 14' boat with the 30hp motor... it will get you there faster and not be as rough if the water is choppy... and the more people or weight you can get in the front of the boat, the better... it will make it plane out faster and be easier to handle and run better.

My wife and I were there this past April... here's part of a post I wrote after we got back about renting a dinghy from "Noah's Little Arks" (they rent right in front of the "Beach Bar", just off the ferry dock.) Drumbiker wrote: Thanks! Checked out Noah's website - looks great- ...
