Virgin Gorda Beaches

JMQ, do you know which beaches are in your Virgin Gorda photos? Do you know how easily accessible they are? We'll be in VG in less than 2 weeks for our second trip. Can't wait!

Thanks,
Cindy

Re: Does anyone know what villa this is?

mls10, I loved, loved the old Nautilus when we stayed there in 2007. I'll be curious to see the transformation when we visit the neighborhood this summer.

We've been in the islands the first week of December only once and loved that time of the year. While we were there, the swells picked up midway through the week and the water turned noticeably colder overnight. The first half of the week was awesome!

I'll bet you are thinking of Amalie Car rental. After 9 trips to the islands, we rented from them 2 weeks ago for 10 days and it was our best USVI car rental experience yet. Fabulous folks!

Beautiful show Joe! Your frog photo made me laugh since I had a close encounter with one at our villa. I was sitting outside in total darkness on our arrival day, exhausted, relishing in being there, enjoying the beautiful lights of St. Thomas and the shooting stars when out of nowhere one landed on...

We were there for the first 2 days of the rain. Francis was packed with beach goers on Friday who spent the entire afternoon in the water with their hands over their cups. We were there for a little while and were amazed at their staying power (we could see them from our villa.) Day 2, we spent some...

We are on the car barge leaving St. John right now. Husband and girls just watched someone take something out of an unlocked car at mongoose junction. We also saw a guy walking around town this morning that followed the girls and I into a few stores as we shopped the other night. The girls both comm...

Liamsaunt - I looked up remora pictures on my iPhone and you could be right. It was pretty large though - 48 inches. Maybe he was trying to attach himself to the swimmer. I have some acquaintances at home that act like that! I should change my title to "Remora!!!" but I'm sticking to my st...

I wanted to add that we don't know what type of shark it was. Not a nurse or black tip. Maybe a reef? It was skinny. Will check my reef book when I get home next week.
Writing all this from my iPhone and it's being persnickety and won't let me edit this long post.

Shark!!!

We are chillin over in Leinster Bay in our dinghy after a nice snorkel at Waterlemon today, and as we are getting ready to leave, a group of teens swim by us towards the cay. None of them have fins and some don't have masks. It's a pretty far swim from Leinster bay to the cay and these kids are swim...

We spent a great day on the water today in a dnghy until 4. The skies opened up after that while we were doing some shopping at Mongoose Junction. Hubby was hanging out at Ocean Grill and said it was pretty intense. I barely heard it in the shops! We did pass one lone car at Maho on our way back to ...
