Re: Sad
I drop in from time to time. I visit the "news" websites more often, and visit here more in the winter when my soul is begging to get out of Michigan winters and to be placed on sugar soft sand with the heat of the sun upon me with a nice reef close by... I must stop this behavior as I wan...

Re: Gibney parking
The early bird always get's it's worm. Go early and you can get a parking spot. Go later and park at Hawksnest and snorkel over. It's a nice swim /snorkel over. Now you know my secret!

Boat Charter for mid July
I've been searching for a charter for a while now and have came up with 3 where the price is just about the same. Copeland, Rockhoppen, and Island Roots. What I want to see is called the "Triangle" The Caves, Indians, Jost , and Sandy Cay. It will be just my dad and I and i'm flip flopping...

Re: Escape to Paradise
Yes I will be night snorkeling this summer. I'm going to take my dad as well.(I hope he's not to chicken) My airfare was found using Googleflights, and Farecompare. My airfare was $338, and my dad's was $360 due to the fact that dad didn't want to stay as long. This American Airlines from O'Hare wit...

Forum Gathering in July??
Does the forum family still get together from time to time? The last time I was there back in May of 2011 and we did just that. That was the first, and sadly the last time I met Captain John from Palm Tree Charters. I had a good time and recall Jello Shots being brought in. I'll be there from July 8...

Lawnchairs and snorkel mask
Hey everyone, is there a place to rent a couple of lawn chairs for a week, or would I be better off buying them down there? Also I would like to purchase a snorkel mask for my dad while we are there so that I can make sure that it fits correctly. Any suggestions? I'm 2 months and 5 days away from pa...

Private Charter in mid July
My dad and I are going to charter a boat one day on St.John. We would like to see Norman(The Caves) , the Indians, maybe the Willie T, Sandy Cay, and lastly Jost. The days we are able to go is July 11th through July 14th. Is there anyone who might like to share a boat during that time? If not we are...

Re: It won't be long.....
I told you it won't be long and i'm right. I just booked tickets for my dad and I to visit in July. Of course it wasn't easy getting my dad to tag along. (He wanted to go for only a week and I need more time than that) So I booked one way tickets on July 8th for the both of us. He will fly back on t...

Finally airfare is within reach! I'm trying to get a final answer from my dad on if he's going. I gave him a deadline of this Thursday. I have to jump on these prices. $328 round trip from O'Hare! I'm going to be a wreck all week.

Re: It won't be long.....
If I can talk my father into going I might upgrade to the campgrounds tent or cottage. Maybe, just maybe I can talk my dad into one magic day at Caneel Bay Resorts. My wife and I chose the Hyatt over Caneel back in '94 but I regret not staying at Caneel for a couple of day's. We loved the Hyatt at t...

Re: It won't be long.....
I'm planning on staying @ Cinnamon Bay Camps. If I go alone it will be a bare site and i'll bring my hammock w/ the netting. If I can talk my dad into going it will be their tent or cottage. If Maho Camps was up and running I would be there, but it is what it is. My stay will be 2 weeks, starting the ...

It won't be long.....
Its been a long while since iv'e been on the rock(2011) This year has been tough for me with the long hours I put in at both of my jobs. I'm planing a visit this July for 2 weeks and have been checking out airfare from Chicago. I've found Google Flights and it looks like pricing might be under $340 ...

Re: Fourth Trip, What's New?
GOD willing I will be there for 2 weeks this July. I would suggest going to Honeymoon Beach and renting a kayak and paddle out to Henley Cay. Take a lunch with you and enjoy! I've not done this but intend on doing so this trip.

Re: Cinnamon Bay Campground?
I sure hope we can still have the campground for years to come. For me there is nothing like camping out in the middle of the park. You feel like you're a part of it. The cost of a nights stay is bargain priced (good thing for me with 2 kids in college) My last visit to Cinnamon was in 2011 and from...
