Thank you! No biggie...we'll just ask for some half and half at the grill and hopefully they'll have rum and coke and champagne waiting in our room which should get us through a day or 2!!! How are the liquor store prices at the airport-are they way expensive?

Thanks, Gromit. This time we're staying at Caneel & taking their ferry and won't have a car until a couple days into our trip so I wanted to buy some beverages & half and half for in room coffee before we get there.

Thank you for your replies. I'll look for Pueblo. I thought there would be more options in town. Are the airport price for alcohol good?

Best Place to Buy Beer/Liquor and Groceries near CA ferry

Hi, Can you please tell me a good place to pick up a few groceries-cream for coffee, limes for drinks etc.) as well as beer/vodka within walking distance of the CA ferry? Is STT airport the best (Cheapest) place to buy booze or is there somewhere downtown? How about groceries? Thanks!

Julie,

Good move on the hot tub rather than the pool! :)
We were in a westward facing villa for the sunset/pool warmth and it was still cold so hot tub is the way to go for this time of year.

We did last year. Was in the 80s with a little rain here and there, ocean a little chilly and villa pool cold. Overall gorgeous AND it was -6 degrees in Boston when we were there! It was pretty quiet on island for busy season due to the economy, I guess. I expected it to be much more crowded-got int...

Thanks so much for your great report. I've been eyeing Bermuda as it IS such a short flight from BOS so information from an STJ lover is very helpful.

Yeah! Good for you! If you know it's a great price it's never too early to book-just gives you more time to daydream about your trip.

We chose USAir for our upcoming trip in January based on price $258 RT plus taxes-We connect through PHL unfortunately. I could have and should have picked connections thru CLT especially since at that time of year there is another flight that leaves from CLT 2 hours after our flight, which gives us...

Okay, now you've got me going and thanks for your observation cause I will look at this for future trips...BOS-PHL, there are no later flights after 10 am out of PHL, so if you miss your connection, it's wait til the next day, whereas if we connected in CLT, there is another flight later in the day....

Sorry that happened to you, petepie. That is an unfair loophole that CSA has. Regarding CLT, I find it to be one of the better airports around, it was the originating airport flight that is to be blamed for missing your connecting flight out of CLT, but that's a good point re. the flight times (you ...

Hi Sharon (and Bob!) Can you please share the room category you booked originally and what you like the most & least about Cottage 7? Are you in an upper or lower unit? Trying to live vicariously through you... Is this now your favorite or would you rather be beachfront? Thank you

Actually for our January dates it's $440 plus taxes each for a total of $982 for 2 so I'm still happy with our short stop US Air fares for $643 including taxes ($129 + each way), although I do LOVE non-stop flights- but for $339 I'll stop!
