Thanks for your trip reports - I really enjoyed them. I liked the details. My husband just bought a housing for his Canon, so hopefully it will work out better than your camera situation. He even got a prescription mask with built-in bifocals, so he can see the camera controls better. We are leaving...

Wow - what a great snorkeling report - I loved it. Thanks for taking the time to write it up for those of us who can't wait to get into the water. Also printed it to take with us. Now I just need to figure out how to haul myself out of bed really early. Snorkeling at 7:30am is something I have never...

Thanks for the reviews - this is great info. Last year, we really enjoyed Shipwreck and Miss Lucy's for lunches. I am interested in trying Mosquito's, but I don't know where Cocoloco is. Is that the center in Coral Bay where the little grocery store is? We love West Indian food, so Sweet Plantains i...

Thanks for the info. Aqua Bistro is close to where we are staying so we will definitely check it out. Banana Deck is on our list of restaurants to try too. My hubby is not taking any long pants, so we can't hit the Westin for music unless they have it in an informal venue. I will call them anyway. W...

Any chance of hearing steel drum (pan) music on STJ?
We love pan music and were wondering if there is any place to hear it on STJ? I saw an article about the kids group on island that plays, but didn't see a schedule. Perhaps I should call Caneel and Westin to see what's going on there? I was away on business last week and just got caught up on some o...

Estate Concordia blog
Check out the Estate Concordia blog. Their new cafe and pavilion overlooking Salt Pond is almost done. We enjoyed staying at EC last year for our first week on the island and are looking forward to going back to enjoy their new cafe.

So exactly where is Candi's BBQ?
My husband loves BBQ (especially from Kansas City) and we want to try the new place, Candi's when we are there later this month. Can anyone tell us exactly where it is? Saw the video on OSJ, and thought it might be near Starfish?

Thanks for the details, especially about the snorkeling. We are snorkeloholics and love to read about it when we aren't enjoying it ourselves. We went on the same trip with CApt Phil last year and saw a spotted eagle ray for the first time. It was so beautiful. We hung out with Phil and watched it f...

I'm a big reader, but am with the others and don't read too much while on island. I love looking at the water, watching the birds, kids playing, etc. Also spend tons of time in the water, snorkeling, swimming or just floating in the wonderful water. But I do enjoy reading on the plane and waiting in...

So what is a cocoberry shake anyway?
I remember reading here about someone who loved the cocoberry shake made someplace at Wharfside. Was that you, Waterguy? And then someone mentioned it in the over/underrated thread. So what is in a cocoberry shake? I've never heard of it, but the name sounds like its yummy. 22 days to go for us.... ...

Flip-Flop - thanks for the pointer to your report. We were thinking about renting a dinghy from Crabby's this trip, but I wasn't sure if there was much to see in the Hurricane Hole area. Your report convinced me that we would definitely enjoy it. We rented chairs from Mr Crabby (the male one) last y...

We are B and J in Virginia - live in suburbs of DC. I have lived here my whole life. I am a 3rd generation Virginian. My grandmother talked about the beach on the Potomac where the Pentagon is now and she grew up on a dairy farm where Pentagon City mall is now. Too bad they didn't own the land, rath...
