Re: Boat Trip to the BVIs

Are groups larger than 6 okay for either of those charters? We have a group of 8 going down in November and I was under the impression that 6 guests were the max for some boats.

We were there with friends in June and stayed in the Reef Bay area and had all paved roads to get to the villa. Our friends got stuck with a car for a day because the rental company ran out of jeeps and even on all paved roads they had to drive very slowly because there were several places that the ...

We were there just before WhereTo and the prices were as stated. From what we have seen based on past trips as well, expect to pay about $1 more per gallon than the going price on the mainland at the time.

I agree with P-600. We've been 3 times in the late Sept./October/November range in the last 6 years. The weather was great all three times! The only downers for us was that once the Fishtrap was closed and a couple of times the smoothie stand out on Centerline Rd. wasn't open. @GraysonDave - excelle...

We went for two weeks in June, the second week we were joined by a newbie couple. I was certain the guy would fit in perfectly. The wife I was very afraid would not. I stole the phrase “expensive camping” from the forum and used it on them ahead of time just to try to set expectations. We booked a v...

We have been staying at a place in Chocolate Hole all week with a direct view of it. We haven't seen any activity or heard any noise from there all week. In fact, it looks mostly boarded up.

STJ power ourage

Power went out about 2a this morning (at least in the Chocolate Hole area). Anyone on-island got any power or is this an island-wide outage?

KYG - are you guys making the trip up to River Bend in June to see Kenny w/ Zac Brown? We are considering it. The timing isn't great, so it may be a day before decision.

We were there. It was indeed a great show! Seemed odd that Uncle Kracker didn't join Kenny on stage for "when the sun goes down" and that Kenny and George didn't do the song of theirs from "Hemingway's Whiskey". But a fantastic concert, great crowd, fun night!
