Chateaux Bordeau 09/05/02

While a casual lunch spot and lookout point during the day, the Chateau Bordeau transforms itself into a lovely French restaurant with exceptional food at night. There is an amazinmg view of Coral Bay and the British Virgin Islands from the restaurant. Reservations are necessary and a safe bet, even in low season. One warning: when we went last week, the cab drivers were reluctant to take us up there, as it was a 45 minute drive out into the middle of nowhere. We had to finish dinner quickly to join another couple returning to the Westin; otherwise we mighjt have had a problem getting back. I'm pretty sure this is not the situation in high season, but if you go during the summer, it is daylight for the length of your dinner and you can appreciate the view and the sunset.
