The ambience of this small restaurant is nice. It retains a bit of the "sports bar" influence from one of it's former incarnations and I imagine it might get rather loud at peak times due to the many hard surfaces, but we did not encounter this. The service is very good, extremely friendly, and prompt by any standard, but we found the food to be somewhat lacking.

I ordered the Caribbean spiced pork loin with rum and bananas; my sister ordered the prime rib sandwich. The prime rib was really shaved steak and the pork loin, while reasonably tasty, did not seem to have the spices described in the menu. The potatoes that accompanied both orders contained more pepper than most would consider reasonable (my sister had to send hers back and ask for fries) and the gravy (which appeared to be the same for both beef and pork) was salty even to me, a confirmed saltaholic.

Given the good service and competitive prices I would probably recommend The Case Place as a good place for a casual meal - perhaps "bar food" and to watch a game. It's just that the entrees did not measure up to similar fare elswhere.
