I give the Gentle Winds complex 4 Stars, the unit we stayed in (I-10) 3 Stars. We traveled with our two children, ages 3 and 7 in March 2011. The complex is beautiful, has a huge open lawn, nice pool and beautiful beach. It is perfect for traveling with kids or for couples. The pool and beach were never crowded and the Beach Shack had good food and drinks during the day. We stayed in an oceanfront unit in the "I" building, the view was beautiful. The bedrooms were large and each had its own bath. I would return to Gentle Winds, but would pick another unit next time. The unit we stayed in had too many personal photographs and art work everywhere. I prefer a unit that is a little less personal. My daughter loved the owner's art, but all the art on the walls was sometimes sensory overload for my husband and me.
